417 South Main

The Jacob Hall House

Built between 1802 and 1805, 417 South Main is one of the oldest houses in Geneva.

Nestled in the heart of the Historic District, the 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom rowhouse sleeps up to 8 people, with covered porches running the full width of the house that provide views of Seneca Lake.

The first floor includes a living room, dining room, half-bath, and a recently-renovated kitchen that is well-equipped with cooking essentials, pots and pans, and dinnerware. The covered porch, which is accessible from the dining room or the kitchen, includes ample seating to relax or have a meal while enjoying views of the lake.

Upstairs is a second covered porch, accessed from the stair hall, a laundry room, and two en-suite bedrooms, one with a full-size bed and the other with a queen.

Originally the kitchen, the knotty pine-panelled lower level is now a cozy family room centered around the former kitchen hearth. Two bedrooms and a shared full bath are also located on this level, and a small patio and gently sloping backyard can be accessed from the family room.

The house is within walking distance of the lake, downtown and the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Campus. The bedrooms and bathrooms are fully outfitted with bed linens and towels, and the house includes WiFi and laundry. Street parking is free on South Main Street.
